Nothing gets painted around — it gets taken off and put back. Prep covers sanding out imperfections, filling nail holes and cracks, caulking the seam where wall meets frame, and degreasing kitchen and bathroom walls so paint actually bonds. Where smoke, water, marker or nicotine bleeds through, we apply a stain-blocking primer, and we seal any fresh drywall patch before finish coats go on.
Walls get two finish coats. Ceilings and trim are quoted as separate line items so you can see exactly what each part of the job costs and decide what's in and what's out. Minor texture touch-up is included where a patch needs it — larger damage moves to our texture matching service, and we'll tell you that up front rather than burying it in the bid.
We clean up daily, reinstall plates and hardware, and walk the whole house with you under raking light before calling it done. Leftover paint gets labeled by room and color and left with you, so a scuff two years from now is a five-minute fix instead of another quote.

Why Colorado's dry air changes how we paint
Colorado's very low relative humidity makes paint skin over on the surface faster than it cures underneath. Roll into a section that has already flashed off and you get lap marks and dry edges baked into the wall — visible forever once the afternoon sun hits it sideways.
That's why an interior job here runs on a different rhythm than the same job in a humid climate. We size each section to what can be cut in and rolled while the edge is still wet, work room by room instead of jumping around, and time coats to the actual conditions in the house that day, not to a generic label recommendation.
It's also why the final walkthrough happens under raking light. Flat overhead light hides flashing and roller texture; light coming across the wall shows everything. We'd rather find it and fix it with you standing there than have you find it a week after we've packed up.
